Prisons and jails are being hit hard by the coronavirus because of how difficult it is to accomplish social distancing inside correctional facilities. Concerns have been circulating not just among those who are incarcerated, but also among those who work there. Cook County Jail is one of many facilities that has been hit hard by this pandemic. Pelipost has taken action to help.

    1. We are not able to send masks directly to inmates. We had to contact the facility directly to get permission granted for us to send the masks in bulk for them to distribute.

  1. Thank you all for being very supportive. I wish we could order mask for our love ones in there. My son at Monhoy in frackville n he been wearing the same one for over a month. I don’t know how safe that is and it’s a shame that our love ones are getting the covid 19 if the staff are supposed to be wearing a mask at all times some one not practicing safety measures.

  2. This has brought tears to my eyes! Thank you so much for all that you do and have done for our loved ones who dont have a voice on the outside. I have only been able to email once a week (if that) with my husband. I kills me that very few even give inmates a second thought when they are the most vulnerable. I appreciate everything you guys are doing! Bless your hearts ♡♡♡

  4. Thank you so much. I hope this makes a difference and helps slow down or even possibly stop the spread of COVID-19. Ive been so worried about my loved one because I felt that no one has acknowledged the danger these inmates are in. Not all inmates deserve death sentences (referring to COVID-19). Thank you.

    1. Thank you for your support Claudina. We wish we could send masks directly to inmates. We had to get permission from Cook County Jail to send these masks and they had to be sent to a specific location for inspection. We will continue to do what we can to help more facilities and your loved ones.
